Where to play pickleball as a beginner?

Pickleball is a great social and interactive sport. This fun game is easy for beginners to learn but can develop into a quick, fast paced, competitive game for experienced players. Pickleball is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center and is played with a plastic ball similar to a wiffle ball and wooden or composite paddles. This sport is for everyone!

There are many places to play as a beginner to learn the addicting sport of pickleball in Sarasota County. I personally broke-in my pickleball paddle in at the Sadlier YMCA in Potter Park. There I was, trying to find fellow female racquetball players when out of the corner of my eye, I saw men and women swiftly moving around courts that looked like small-sized tennis courts. And they were all smiling and having a great time! Well, I had to give it a try and soon I traded my racquet in for a paddle. That was 3 years ago and I haven’t played racquetball since.
